The Chapel Hill-Lincoln Hall of Fame (CHHS-LHS) welcomed its newest class of inductees last month, including former Tiger athletes Sean Lucas, Aaron Peterson, Monique Fearrington, Denzel Ingram, Charles Nieves and the 1972 men’s soccer team.

Chapel Hill High School permanent substitute teacher Charlie Webb was also recognized with a plaque for his dedication to and work with the CHHS-LHS Hall of Fame.

Chapel Hill athletic director Tim Bennett surprised Webb when he presented him with the award. Webb immediately gave credit to his co-workers in the organization.

“We have a great committee, especially on the night of the banquet. We all work very hard,” Webb said.

Webb, who has been working with the CHHS-LHS since 2002, said he loves the yearly celebrations.

“I think that the hall of fame brings the community together,” Webb said. “I think that it is one of the most exciting things to hear athletes and coaches come back and share their stories and what they have been through.”
